Closely integrated
with Shortcut Management, Package Tasks control the actual installation of
software onto a workstation, the benefits of this system are easy to see once you have
used it for just a few minutes:
- Deploy an MSI to the whole or part of your network in just a few clicks
- Assign it any subset of your network, controlled by your Active Directory structure, Windows groups or individual items
- Add an exception for a single or multiple computer(s) so software isn't installed where it isn't needed
- Have separate Package Tasks for 32bit and 64bit machines, the system will automatically run the correct task
- Link to Shortcuts so the software will be automatically installed where the Shortcut is assigned
